Final Tokyo image dump, Part 1

I'm going to wrap this all up, as I'm not sure how interesting my vacation photos are to the general public. Here are a bunch of them, along with a little commentary:

This is Aliza at Club Sega in Shinjuku. We played this drumming game together. Like pretty much the entire trip, we weren't exactly sure what the game was trying to tell us to do, but we sort of figured it out just by putting everything in context, and making our best guesses.

This is also at Club Sega. I took this photo of Aliza because I really wanted a photo of the game in the background, but didn't want to weird out the kid playing it by taking a photo directly of him. It was a game which combined a deck of collectible strategy cards, like Magic: The Gathering, with a video game. You laid your cards out on a table in front of the monitor, and then when the game started, the computer sensed what you had, and you were able to do battle with it. It was amazing.

Kenji and his girlfriend at dinner. They took me to a place where I never would have been able to go on my own, because the menu there didn't have big-old pictures of the meals on it for me to just dumbly point to like I had to do at every other restaurant that we ate at.

Me and Kenji.

Mmm, MegMilk. This was apple and peach flavored milk. It was yummy!

Final Tokyo post to come...

In real life one is forced to look at vacation pictures by people you know, even if you don't give a damn.

On the internet, one can choose to look at vacation pictures of people you don't know, that are actually quite interesting.

I know which one I prefer.

For the record, both the taiko drum game (Taiko Drum Master) and the card game (or at least a collectible card game that uses an attached camera) are available for home systems here in the US. We have the taiko game and you can play "Killer Queen" by Queen, it's quite fun!

That first photo is amazing. I would've never thought to look into a car building.

The one we have here in NYC is boring compared to that it seems.

That is a cool looking building, isn't it? They have lot's of unique looking places there - it's very cool to just walk around and take in.
