Watched the first episode of the new John Adams mini-series tonight. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Sadly it brought into a clearer light exactly how much I really know about the Revolutionary War, which is not that much. I'm basically depending on my dim recall of stuff I learned in Middle School to remind me of some of the details of what's going on in the story.

I remembered that the first person who got killed in the war was a black man, because of the Stevie Wonder song. I couldn't remember his name though - I kept wanting to say Atticus Finch, but I knew that wasn't right.
