In celebration of President's Day, I'm posting some recent drawings. I've been slowly but surely working on a new comic over the last few months. Here are two new pages from the story:

I had to experiment from panel to panel with ways of drawing the characters swimming in a lake. It was a fun sort of thing to try to figure out - trying to show which parts of their bodies were above the water, and which were visible underneath.
In the first panel the characters are still in a shallow enough part of the lake that so much of their bodies would still be out of the water. I think I screwed up a little bit in the second and third panels, because I had too much of their necks and shoulders up above the waterline. I realized that when you swim you tend to be completely submerged up to about where your mouth is. In the fourth panel, where the kid is touching the floating dock, I think I got it right.
